We are grateful that a measure of justice has been achieved for George Floyd and his family. We also know that there is still much to be done before our hearts and our country can be truly healed of the deep wounds of persistent racism that prevent us from seeing one another as brothers and sisters. We pray for all those who have pledged to serve and protect us, that they may act with courage and integrity in the face of injustice. May we have the courage to do the same.
